REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

AIM Photonics Summer Academy

Registration requirements

As an education offering of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, AIM Photonics Summer Academy adheres to the registration guidelines of the United States Office of Foreign Assets and Control (OFAC) sanctions list. U.S. laws and regulations prevent us from allowing persons ordinarily resident in certain countries and regions from participating in the Summer Academy. Consequently, individuals ordinarily resident in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea region of Ukraine may not register. In addition, persons listed on the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Parties list maintained by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control and the Entities List maintained by the U.S. Department of Commerce are prohibited from participating.

Application Process

Registration will initially reserve your seat at AIM Photonics Summer Academy, and your application to attend will be screened against the sanctions list of the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control. Payment is processed at the time of your registration. If your registration cannot be accepted, the registration fee will be refunded.

Registration requires your name, affiliation, email/phone contact information, a short description of your background in photonics, and a short description of three photonics learning goals that are a priority for you in taking this intensive program.

Academic Discounted Rate

A discounted rate is available for undergraduate and graduate students only. In order to receive the academic discount, you must request a “promo code” to be used on the Eventbrite ticket payment form. Please write to aimsummer@mit.edu for the code.
