TLX COMPONENT LIBRARY

TLX US Naval Research Laboratory logo

Developed in collaboration with the US Naval Research Laboratory, the TLX component library comprises passive components designed to operate from 700 nm to 1625 nm (from the I-band to the L-band) on AIM Photonics' Silicon Nitride Passive PIC technology platform.

  • Low-loss waveguides, typically
    < 0.2 dB/cm (1000 nm to 1625 nm)
    < 1.0 dB/cm (700 nm to 1000 nm)
  • Low-fluorescence: typical inelastic waveguide emission limited by Raman scattering from core.
  • Designed for TE00 and TM00 modes
  • Sensing trench with fully exposed waveguide
  • Measurement-verified components in upcoming release.

Other helpful information to know

  • The current PDK version that should be used for the silicon nitride MPW runs is 0.5.
